The East Mill Creek Community Council is sponsoring this 5K Race as a neighborhood family event, to raise funds for Heifer International.
The 5K Race begins and ends at the north end of Wasatch Jr High School ball field (3103 E Craig Dr 3600 South) and the route wanders through the neighborhoods of East Mill Creek. Other sponsors include the Venture Outdoor Festival (which will be held later that day at Canyon Rim Park). Businesses and Individuals are encouraged to “sponsor” the race. Please contact Mark Olsen (801) 641-2100. All sponsors of $250+ will have their names displayed on the back of the Fill the Ark t-shirt.
Heifer International supplies farm animals, training & education opportunities to needy people in villages around the world (please see www.Heifer.org ). $5,000 is enough money to send an “ARK” full of animals to a village that will sustain life, begin small business enterprises and teach self-reliance to the people. Last year we sent an Ark and this year our goal is to send at least two.
